Beehive Buzz - October 5, 2015

It's Monday!! First off - let's send prayers and uplifting thoughts to our Beauties in South Carolina. I know we have a lot of members there and the scenes of flooding that I'm seeing on the news are just horrible. Please keep the East Coast in your thoughts and prayers this week.

We'll we're getting closer to Quilt Market and I'm starting to see some of the new fabrics that will debut at market. I stumbled upon a new release coming from Camelot that will make a lot of Beauties happy. They are going to be doing Disney!! Yay!! Camelot is a quilt shop quality fabric company and I"m so excited that we'll be able to offer Disney now. As many of you know I don't like the quality of Springs so haven't offered it in the past (the few bolts we did order and have on our website was because grandkids wanted them and who could say no to grands!!). So now we'll be able to offer it in the group.

Also getting closer to our 3rd Annual Quilt Market Sale - we'll be updating the document in the files this week to the new date, October 18th and time (to be determined). This is a fun day and a crazy day around here - we'll also have remnant bundles and sales in the group. So invite your friends to join our group because sale codes will only be available in the group.

Over in the Bee Quilted Sewing Lounge there is a pillowcase swap going on. Join in on the fun!! Also, that's the place to share, ask questions, and just hang out!!

Later today in the fb group I'll be updating the "Order Status" and tomorrow I'll have the "International Shipping" updated. I want to thank y'all for your patience in waiting for me to cut and ship. As most of you know I also run an embroidery business and this past month or so it's been very busy with school starting up and 3 different large events that I do work for. I'm on the last event so shipping should get back to normal. Please remember that the embroidery business partially funds the fabric shop (at this time) so I have to get those orders out to be able to pay for the fabric coming in. Thanks for your support!!

Beehive Buzz - July 15, 2015

It's been a busy week around here and I haven't had a chance to sit down to write any updates!

I've been busy uploading more and more fabric to our website, we have a lot to go through and inventory!

We have also been talking about a new addition to the website: patterns!  Queen Bee has found some really cute paper patterns that she's ordered and we also met with some really awesome designers at Quilt Market last year who we're looking at placing orders with.  I will be looking into adding PDF patterns to our site as well.  We're both really excited about this new expansion in our shop!

New preorders have been posted in the group on Facebook, please join us if you haven't yet!

I'm looking into teaching some simple sewing classes soon and will be sharing the projects from our classes in the coming weeks!  I was given a great idea for a simple class by Queen Bee, who saw a youth sewing class in progress yesterday.  I can't wait to teach this class!

Beehive Buzz: June 8, 2015

Happy Monday!

Queen Bee had a bit of excitement this morning in the Beehive, she had a little visitor to the shop courtesy of all the rain lately.  She has a slight (major) fear of frogs and the rain really brings them out, especially in the country, where she lives.  She opened the door to the shop and one of the little suckers jumped right inside!  Luckily, King Bee was home and came to the rescue!  Otherwise she wouldn't be able to get anything done today!

If you haven't joined our Facebook group yet, you're missing out on some great sales every Wednesday!  This week, we're going to have remnant bundles and FQ bundles up for grabs!  It'll be happening early Wednesday morning, so come join us.

We're still working on the new website and it should be ready to launch this week!  We're really excited about how it's all coming together and can't wait for the big reveal!  The goal is to have it launched by the end of this week, and this weekend we will have a big sale to celebrate!

Beehive Buzz - Monday May 18

Time for the weekly update from the Beehive!  We have a lot going on this week!

First, there have been some updates to the rules and such in our group on Facebook for pre-orders.  Come join us if you haven't yet, we have a great time over there!

This week, Color Me should be in and we will start cutting this weekend.  I'm heading to the Beehive on Friday to help cut Color Me so we can get it shipped out.

We're still working on the website, waiting to hear back from our new host and then uploading all of our fabric to the new site for our big re-launch!  No estimated date yet on when it'll all be done.

Last weekend was Spring Quilt Market and from the pictures we saw, the new fabrics coming out are simply amazing!  Tula Pink showed off her new line, Eden, with some beautiful quilts done in the three colorways, Amethyst, Sapphire and Tourmaline.

Art Gallery also had their new lines on display, we already have pre-orders up for many of them in the group, so make sure to get your order in, they're all breathtaking.

So many pretty fabrics, there really needs to be more than 24 hours in a day for more sewing!

This week, I'm hoping to finish up a new tutorial that I have in my mind, users of Essential Oils will really enjoy this one!

Beehive Buzz - Monday May 11

Your hot spot for the weekly Beehive Announcements!

It's Monday!! Hope all y'all Beauties had a wonderful Mother's Day!! We had a fun filled weekend of birthdays - painting party and fun with the grandkids. On a sad note - the website has had many problems this past week and we are looking into getting a new website up and different hosting.  (A little update can be found here) Hopefully we won't be down long and will redo the sale for those that missed out!! 

Looking back on the last two years I definitely have a bigger "stash" now, but more importantly I have some new Beauties that I call "family". It's been a wonderful ride - we've been in business for two years and have had this group a little over a year now. We wish we could do a round the world trip to meet each and every one of y'all. Wouldn't that be fun!!

On the cutting table this week (some done last week) - Wednesday sales orders, Website sales orders, Skopelos, Cultivate, Pokemon, Penny's Doll House, and anything else that happens to come in in the next couple of days. Dear Little World, BonBon Bebe have been charged. Calling today to check on True Colors and Caravelle Arcade. Talked to Michael Miller last week and Color Me (Royal border) is scheduled to ship on the 15th (and Princess Bee will be coming down to help me cut).

As many of you know - this weekend is Spring Quilt Market, but we won't be attending - but no worries my sales reps will be keeping me informed on what new fabrics are coming out and I have an appt. set up with the C+S rep (among others) to see the new lines. I'll try to post some market updates as I get them from the reps or from the fabric companies. Spring Market was just too far away for us to attend this year, maybe next Spring, but we will be at Fall Market!!
